When time slips out of my hands.
And I get lost in this time gap.
Then where do I go?

glass art exhibition with artist Andra Jõgis

03.05-27.05.2023
Pärnu City Gallery Artists House
Pärnu, Estonia

The exhibition save as deals with the storage of events, moments and values through the different working logic of two artists. Mäemets makes choices through a dense sieve that filters the important from the unimportant, suppresses the noise and only stores the final file. Jõgis works as a documentarian and archivist who captures the poetic nature of everyday moments of life and thereby preserves intermediate recordings. However,
the artists are united by the desire to explore the importance of time in making choices and in the formation of values.

The works recorded in the exhibition are central to the glass material, installational and playful in form. save as is the second joint exhibition of Mäemets and Jõgis.

The artists would like to thank: Estonian Academy of Arts, Aleksandra Ehrensvärd (Stockholms Glasbruk)
The exhibition was supported by the Estonian Cultural Foundation, Nordic Culture Point
